Yoga Teacher Training at Disko Yoga School
Hands-On Live Teacher Training
-
Our programs are intentionally designed to be live and in-person, offering a depth of learning that online training simply cannot replicate. Trainees benefit from real-time practice teaching, immediate hands-on feedback from experienced instructors, and the opportunity to observe and adjust in the moment — skills that develop confidence and teaching presence far more effectively than virtual formats. This embodied, interactive approach creates a supportive community where growth happens not just through information, but through lived experience, personal connection, and direct guidance on the mat.
-
Our yoga teacher training programs at Disko Lemonade are intentionally structured to create a balanced, progressive, and transformative learning experience. Each module builds upon the last, moving from foundational knowledge and personal practice to advanced teaching skills, creative sequencing, and embodied leadership. This thoughtful progression ensures trainees develop not only the technical expertise but also the confidence, self-awareness, and authentic voice needed to become effective and inspiring yoga teachers.
-
Connection is a core part of the process. You’ll learn just as much from the group as from the content itself.
-
Led by experienced and dedicated guides who know how to hold space, encourage meaningful participation, and keep the training moving with purpose.
Our lead trainers are all 500-hour certified teachers with extensive experience. The primary lead trainer is a 500-hour E-RYT and the owner of Disko Lemonade.
We believe in including multiple voices from different experts and backgrounds so you can learn from a rich variety of perspectives. Our training lead will regularly bring in guest experts and teachers to enrich the program and expose you to diverse teaching styles and wisdom.
-
Each session prioritizes comfort, safety, and respect—so you can show up as you are and fully engage in the process.
-
We often include optional check-ins, next steps, or community resources to help you keep the momentum going.

In our 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training, you will primarily learn to teach Vinyasa Yoga — a dynamic style that intelligently links breath with movement. You’ll also study yoga philosophy, anatomy, alignment, cueing, and the art of teaching.
In the 300-hour training, you will expand your skills by diving deeper into additional modalities, including Yoga Sculpt, Yin Yoga, Restorative Yoga, and other specialized approaches.
Our goal is to give you a strong foundation in vinyasa while equipping you with the versatility and creativity to teach a range of classes with confidence and authenticity.

No — and we don’t even know what “good” means.
You do not need to be advanced, flexible, strong, or have years of experience practicing yoga to join our teacher training. Many of our students come in as beginners or with very little consistent practice. What matters most is your genuine interest, openness to learning, and willingness to show up for yourself and the process.
Our training is designed to meet you exactly where you are and help you grow from there — both as a practitioner and as a future teacher.
-
Whether you are on our 200, 300, or 500 HR path, your training includes a manual, live sessions with in person experts, membership at disko during training, plus free tickets to training events.
-
No, you don’t. Many people join our Yoga Teacher Training not because they want to teach publicly, but because they want to deepen their own practice, understand yoga more fully, and grow personally. Some students eventually decide to teach, while others simply take the training for their own transformation and never teach a single class — both paths are completely valid and welcomed here.
